The work can be a single episode, a special series or limited run, a full season judged as a body of work, or your show as a whole. Pick whichever gives the judges the truest picture of what you can do.
Eligibility follows publication. Enter work that was published during the awards year you're entering. For a season or a series that ran across a year boundary, go by when it finished.
Anyone can enter. Independent creators, networks, studios, students, first-timers. Producers, editors, hosts, and anyone else who worked on a show can submit it.
The category is where that work competes, and you choose exactly one per entry. Craft sits at the centre of the list: editing, sound design, mixing, scriptwriting in fiction and non-fiction, original music, interviewing, the handling of archival and field audio. Beyond craft there are categories for form and genre, and categories for independent productions, one-person operations, and shows in their first year.

Filmed shows can enter anywhere. Most categories are judged on the audio alone, so a video podcast competes on the same footing as everyone else in them. Separate video categories exist for work that should be assessed on the picture too.
A second category means a second entry, purchased separately, with its own category assigned to it. A second entry is a second panel, a second independent read, and a second written critique, which is why it carries its own fee.
Fit matters. Judges assess how well a piece belongs in the category it landed in, so a strong season entered in the wrong place will score worse than an honest fit. Choose the category that describes what you actually made.
Entries are final. All fees are non-refundable, including entries withdrawn before judging.
Judging runs all year. Entries are scored as they come in rather than piling up for a single review period, which means your critique reaches you well before results are public.
Entries close December 15. Winners are announced at the end of the year.
What placing gets you. A digital badge for your site and feed, and a permanent page in our archive: your work, your category, the judges' write-up, and a link back to your show. Winners can order a solid metal award once results are announced.
